About Peter Sargant

I first became involved with NZ Corvettes in 1984 and started attending regular events from 1987 onwards. I have been fascinated by the Corvette from my early childhood days and after many years of wanting I finally purchased my first Corvette in 1988. It is the Bronze 1970 Coupe pictured below and is a car I still own today, 20 years later! I have since been fortunate to add my all time favourite, a 1963 Split Window Coupe, to the collection and hope to have this car restored within the next few years. I am always trying to find pictures and information on this car, so if you know anything about a 1963 Coupe that has been in New Zealand since almost new and was hot rodded during the 1970's with flares, sidepipes, fat wheels, red crushed velvet interior and has been painted silver, gold, black and most recently, red I would appreciate any info. I will update photo's and info on this car as it comes to hand. The photo below was taken in about 1986 when the car was last for sale and last on the road. It has been in storage and undergoing restoration work ever since.

My auto enthusiasm is very flexible and my love and appreciation for other automobiles is varied. I have owned numerous other collectable vehicles ranging from a Triumph TR3 to a Datsun 240Z and Pontiac Firebird convertible. I have been involved in other car clubs but my association with NZ Corvettes has been the longest. I am also a member of NCRS.
